The Driftwood Hotel - Blackpool

This place suits me perfectly. It offers free wi-fi, luggage storage, and a lovely leisure room. The staff were great, especially helping my elderly parents during our first stay. I can't wait to return for Christmas!

Magnificent and pleasant location, to Blackpool centre. For tea or coffee visit Teapot Cafe nearby. Spotless room with bedrooms, basic walls & flooring, clean bedsheets as advertised.

we had a pleasant experience at driftwood, where the owner was always eager to help. the staff treated my child with care, making it a comfortable stay for our family. the room was simple yet cozy, and we appreciated the quiet atmosphere. located conveniently near shops and attractions, we found it easy to explore the area.

Our rooms were neat with a private toilet. The check-in was early and the atmosphere was family overall.

I had issues with the TV and sliding bathroom door, which I reported but received little support. The cleanliness was lacking, with damp skylights and water leaks, creating stress during our visit.

Cute atmosphere for pets

The pet-friendly atmosphere was nice, but the room cleanliness was concerning.

A very basic stay that was affordable and met my essential needs. The room was clean-smelling, and my grandchildren loved the bunk beds. Issues like a sliding door and toilet leaks went unresolved were great. The manager was pleasant, but poor communication about maintenance was frustrating.

A Disappointing Experience, but Lessons Learned

It felt more like a hostel than a hotel. One tip, arrive at check-in time to avoid delays, and consider nearby options for dining as there are better choices outside.

Driftwood may not be a five-star experience, but when it comes to local eats, we were close to gems like Harry's Chicken & Pizza Bar, serving up cheeky bites just a short stroll away. Lytham House Kitchen? You could throw a stone and hit it! Plus, the staff tried their best amidst chaos, a tip of the hat for effort!

Now for the not-so-fun bits. The toilet was like a mystery novel, leaking and unclean, and finding out it was a non-smoking room that smelled like a tobacco factory was a minor tragedy. And don't get me started on the keys. Confusing locks.

The Driftwood offered a charming atmosphere with fresh, clean bedding and accessible spaces, made our family feel right at home, especially for my elderly mum.

Lack of proper bathroom facilities.

The location was super close to everything fun, and the staff were friendly when u could find them. I loved that it was cheap, perfect for budget vacation. Easy access to local shops around. Decent amount of space for my family, enough to get by.

The toilet kept leaking everywhere and it was so dirty with dust and dead flies everywhere. Also the tv and sliding door to the toilet just didn't work and I felt ignored when I tried to get help.

The stay was affordable and the view of the Blackpool Tower was pretty! 🏰 the cleanliness left a lot to be desired, with an odd smell and discomfort from the bed.

Pet-friendly and warm hospitality

The owner was vibrant and engaging. Despite some minor issues with the room size, the freshly cooked breakfast was a good highlight of our stay. Improving the cleanliness in the rooms could elevate the overall experience.
